Description of the project

The DUAL VET 4.0 project aims to enhance the quality, inclusiveness, and labour market relevance of Dual Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems in Tunisia and Morocco. Funded by the Erasmus+ Capacity Building for VET action, the project supports the digital and green transformation of VET, promotes work-based learning, and strengthens cooperation between public authorities, training providers, and enterprises. By transferring EU expertise and best practices, DUAL VET 4.0 contributes to building more resilient, innovative, and inclusive VET ecosystems in the Southern Neighbourhood.

Aim of the Project

To internationalise and modernise dual VET in Tunisia and Morocco by adapting proven European models; aligning curricula and recognition with EU frameworks; introducing digital quality assurance, career guidance and micro-credentialing; and strengthening stakeholder cooperation so that VET provision better matches labour-market needs and improves youth employability.

Project Activities

● Comprehensive needs assessment and benchmarking of dual VET in Tunisia and Morocco, including curricula/policy review, stakeholder surveys & focus groups, digital infrastructure assessment, and best-practice compendium.

● Design and launch of the DUALVET Nexus Academy: digital curriculum and online training centre aligned with EQF/ECVET/ECTS; Career Guidance Hub with practical tools; Micro-Credentials Design Tool (EDCI-compatible); VET Insights Hub for best practices and benchmarking.

● Capacity-building, knowledge transfer, study visits and pilot implementations with real-time feedback and impact evaluation.

● Communication, dissemination, sustainability & exploitation (project website, multilingual materials, national conferences, social media, open-licence outputs).
